Domain

I became interested in web design when I was in junior high school and I saw personal websites all over, by people around my age. I’ve gone through making so many sites over the years and most of them are actually still up. I’ve been slowly working my skills over the years, learning most of what I know from viewing other website’s page sources and from tutorial sites. I am not perfect at html/css/etc. but I have been working on learning it. I have also recently been getting more into making graphics and hope to share a lot of my graphics/photographs/etc. with you.

I started off using Angelfire (around 2003), and I liked the free service until they started putting ads all over the pages. I had fun on Angelfire and was even part of The Site Fights and The Golden Elite which are/were types of fun website competitions. I then moved to using Geocities, and though it had ads, it was not as much. I built up some popularity, being on it with the same site for about 5 years, and I even got hosted inbetween my time spend with Geocities, which did not last long. I then wanted to try being hosted again and submit an application with my affiliate Kelsey (April 2009) who was happy enough to host me! Geocities had also announced that they were going to end their hosting service which turned out to be a good coincidence.

During my time being hosted by Kelsey, my boyfriend Dewey asked me to set up his domain for his band, The July Edition. So he had already had bought the domain name for the site at GoDaddy and I applied for free hosting from Kya, in which she gladly accepted my application. And thus The July Edition became up and running in May 2009.

I felt it was time for me to take the plunge. On June 17, 2009 I bought my own top level domain from NameCheap for a great deal (.info’s were going for $2.98 for the first year). It was a great deal and I was able to make it an addon to Dewey’s site and now here I am!
